North Devon is the place to be naturally active and where dogs will feel right at home. Here at Braddicks Holiday Centre we are dedicated dog lovers and is the reason we provide unique dog accommodation and facilities so you can relax and feel at ease.
There is no need to leave your dog at home, they are a big part of your family and they like the fresh wind in their hair. Choose from the Paws caravan or traditional Paws villas with stunning views of Lundy Island and Hartland Point. Both providing private grounds with a fenced off area for exercise.
Only a stone’s throw from the beach you will feel relaxed to the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks and enjoy watching your dog racing along the beach, chasing balls into the sea, jumping on the surf, and digging in the sand.
The whole area is super dog friendly and you will find most pubs and restaurants have water bowls as standard. Some even hand out homemade dog biscuits. The Pier House in Westward Ho! permit dogs in their sunset bar and sun terrace.
Dogs are natural information gatherers and they will have a wonderful time on the amazing walks surrounding the haven of traffic-free trails sniffing along the verges at the sea lavender, wild daffodil and wood anemone. So no pulling on the lead, as your dog discovers the insects’ scent on the flowers and if a human has touched it so take your time and do a bit of bird spotting yourself. You can see kingfishers along the estuaries and curlew and spoonbill along the wetlands and wrens along the hedgerows.
With over 253 hectares of salt marsh, grassland and sand dunes in the Westward Ho ! the area alone, will you have time to explore the dog friendly coastal path and Tarka Trail to Instow for instance with the famous John’s deli selling local fresh meats and cheeses for a special picnic treat.
