On the doorstep of our holiday centre is a beautiful Blue Flag beach, which features some breath-taking views of Bideford Bay. Westward Ho! beach features the best of both sand and pebble, with the pebble ridge separating the beach from the Northam Burrows.
Located next to the beach are the amusements, which offers a great range of activities for both adults and children alike.
If you are looking to venture a bit further afield, then here are a few family days out located near to Westward Ho!
The Big Sheep
Located less than a ten minute drive from our holiday centre, the Big Sheep is perfect all year round and is suitable for all weather.
The Big Sheep features a large indoor play area, and will ensure that you will have fun both inside and out! Aptly named Ewetopia (get it?) there is an assortment of ladders, climbing areas, rope bridges, ball pits and slides. Adults are welcome to play with their children in the play area, so release the inner child in you!
There is also a separate play area for toddlers, so parents of children under five-years-old can enjoy a quieter area of play for their little ones. Bo Peep’s Café is also located in the play area, which provides a range of refreshments.
For those who might want to experience some outdoor play, there is a vast selection of activities available at The Big Sheep. This ranges from a large selection of rides, with a new rollercoaster in development for the summer of 2015, to mountain boarding. There are also season attractions available, including ice skating during the winter and a splash zone for the summer.

The Milky Way
The Milky Way was voted North Devon’s top day out with the kids in 2014, and is located less than a 20 minute drive from Westward Ho!
It features a large undercover play area which is suitable for both adults and kids alike! Alongside this, there are many attractions, including the Clone Zone rollercoaster and indoor dodgems. There is also a play area for children under the age of six.
The Milky Way is also home to the longest rollercoaster in Devon, alongside a large outdoor play area with large zip wires.
There are also a number of live shows, which feature things ranging from shows with live animals, to a Britain’s Got Talent style competition.

The Ultimate Adventure Centre
The Ultimate Adventure offers a large range of outdoor activities situated within North Devon. They are located less than a five minute drive from our holiday centre.
Activities on offer at the Adventure Centre include the most recent addition Ultimate Assault, which is an obstacle course featuring some “big balls” (think of a famous television programme!).
The centre also offers mountain biking, coasteering, kayaking, laser tag and high wires. The centre also features a recently added café, which offers a range of refreshments for those taking part in the activities.
