Your dog will enjoy romping on the sand and splashing in the waves to the sound of seagulls but also close by is the Northam Burrows and the famous Tarka Trail is one of the longest traffic free paths in the country for your dog to explore and smell those amazing scents along the hedgerows with rare and protected flora and fauna.
If you stay for a month, you could choose a different walk everyday and still not cover the amazing diverse and protected landscape of North Devon with amazing rights of way and freedom to get up close to nature. Starting with the South West coastal path right here in Westward Ho !, there is an easy walk to Cornborough Cliffs and views towards Clovelly and Hartland Point.
The path starts at the West end of Westward Ho! car park and runs along the old railway line. This is a 2 mile walk on smooth tarmac suitable for elderly and wheelchair users. The second part of this area before getting more difficult takes in the views of Saunton Sands and Baggy Point. Many more walks with 60% protected landscape available to explore.
